Hauler alt - takes 1 day to train. You have 3 characters slots. Utilize them. Friends - if you are part of a corporation chances are that there might be someone in corp who runs a hauler alt or whose sec status is not low enough yet to go to empi...

3. How long to get -10 sec status to positive? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
A decent battleship will give you 0.25% security status boost. Fast talk skill gives 5% per level to effective security rating increase. So if you train Fast Talk IV you get about 0.3% boost with every battleship you kill. Assuming you have train...

5. Sticking w/ frigates viable path for a newb? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
As noted by other posted the only way you'll be gimping yourself is in how much ISK you can earn from missions as well as in variety of targets. To progress up the missions you will need at least a battlecruiser eventually. There are just some shi...

6. Noob question about 0.0 - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
All stations in lowsec are NPC owned meaning that anyone can dock to them. Stations in 0.0 space can either be owned by players or NPCs. If station is owned by players then they can set permissions on who is allowed to dock. These permissions are...

7. Ugh. Okay. I give up. - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Do not undock with a ship that takes you several weeks to earn. Only fly what you can earn back in a few days of game play. EVE has a harsh death penalty but it can be avoided. Just think through everything you do before you jump on doing it.

8. Faction War worth it for new player - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
One reward would be that you'll get more experienced in PVP and chance to fly with older players who you can learn from. Try it out. If you don't like it can leave it instantly. If you use frigates really you're not risking anything by giving it ...

9. Training time whine time - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
This is why a quarter of EVE players runs more than one account. With 2-3 accounts you accomplish 2-3x number of skill than with one, then it doesn't seem so bad.

Open up overview settings (white triangle on top of overview) and it will tell you there what all the little icons and background colors mean. You can even change them from default.

13. When to move on to 0.4 zones? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Around 2 weeks you're good to go for 0.4-0.3. 0.4 is generally a waste of time, 0.3 is much better and doable in a frigate to cruiser-sized ship. You can head all the way to 0.0 but you'll have to suffice with the fact that alone you won't be abl...

14. Making 150mil ISK in first 2 weeks? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I give iskies to noobs who pop up around jita space and make a cute face and story about why they need ISK. Granted if such a noob was to make 30 characters and pop up in local 30 times he could get 150 in sum from me. Earning this kind of money r...

15. Watching Local - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
You separate the local chat from other chats. Any time someone enters you see them pop up in local with the corner of your eye. Then if you have no idea who this pilot is and don't want any pvp, the safest thing would be to warp out to a safespot ...

17. Drone range - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
45km range with scout drone ops level 5 (which you do need for tech II drones anyhow) Plus a drone link augmentor would give you 65 km range. Mission runners also use sentry drones, which have even better range than this but they are stationary.

20. Avoiding Suicide Ganking Guide? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
From what I've seen it goes: Frigate or shuttle - 20-30 mil. It takes one cheap Kestrel to gank so math is quite obvious here. Hauler 150-200 mil. Freighter a few bil. Not sure on T2 haulers, probably 300+ mil. Interceptor or some T2 frig 100+ mil...
